LCDR Lisa Berberich grew up in Colorado Springs, CO.  She joined the class of 1998 at the Naval Academy in the summer of 1994.  While at the Academy she competed in crew, basketball and rugby and participated in OCF and FCA.  In 1998, she graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and reported to Pensacola, FL for flight school.  After training in Pensacola, FL; Corpus Christi, TX; and San Diego, CA, she went on to fly the SH-60B Seahawk helicopter for HSL-37 at MCB Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii from 2001-2004.  During that time, she deployed twice with the USS PORT ROYAL (CG-73) to the Arabian Gulf.  LCDR Berberich went on to fly the Lynx MK 3 and 8 helicopters with the Royal Navy (RN) on the Personnel Exchange Program from 2004-2007 at RNAS Yeovilton in Somerset, England.  While working with the RN, she deployed on HMS NOTTINGHAM (D91) for a NATO deployment.
