Lieutenant Allen Murphy grew up in Hancock, Maryland and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2005 with a B.S. in History. After commissioning in May of 2005, he reported to the USS INGRAHAM (FFG-61) where he served as Main Propulsion Division Officer, First Lieutenant, and Damage Control Assistant, completing one deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Lieutenant Murphy next served as Navigator on board USS CARNEY (DDG-64). During this tour, the ship completed one deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism and was awarded the Battle "E". Lieutenant Murphy is currently serving as a Leadership Instructor at the U.S. Naval Academy and is pursuing an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business. Lieutenant Murphy is engaged to Casey M. Breslin, PhD, of Hagerstown, Maryland.
