NAVAL ACADEMY ANNOUNCES SPRING 2012 PARADE SCHEDULE

NOTE TO EDITORS AND REPORTERS: Please call the Naval Academy Public Affairs Office at (410) 293-2292 by noon, at least one day prior to the date of the parade that you plan to attend.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Naval Academy Brigade of Midshipmen will present formal dress parades on the following dates at 4p.m.: Wednesday, April 11; Friday, April 20; and Friday, April 27. The parades will take place on Worden Field at the Naval Academy. The public is invited to attend without charge.

Pedestrian visitors may walk to the parade through Gate 1 (at the intersection of King George Street and Randall Street) or Gate 3 Maryland Avenue) and will be required to show a picture ID. All bags are subject to search.

Vehicles with Department of Defense decals may drive on through Gate 1 or Gate 8.

Vehicles without DOD decals are not permitted to drive onto the Naval Academy grounds, with exception for handicapped visitors with valid handicapped vehicle decals.
