NAVAL ACADEMY PRESENTS WINTER MUSICAL

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Naval Academy will present the annual winter musical Feb. 24, 25, and 26 and March 2, 3, and 4 in the academy's Mahan Hall. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $15 or $18. They go on sale Jan. 24 and can be purchased online at www.usna.edu/Music/Accessable/tickets.html, by calling USNA's Music and Theatre Box Office at 410-293-TIXS (8497) or at the door.
Guest director Lars Tatom, head of theatre at Anne Arundel Community College, returns to the Naval Academy for his third production with the midshipmen. The performance will be a fully realized Rodgers and Hammerstein production, complete with dancing, costumes, and a live pit orchestra made up of midshipmen musicians.
Vehicles without Department of Defense decals are not permitted on the Naval Academy grounds. Parking will be available for $5 at the Navy/Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, with a complimentary shuttle to Mahan Hall. Handicapped visitors with proper decals and vehicles with DOD decals may enter through Gate 1 or Gate 8 for this event. Audience members may walk-on through Gate 3 on Maryland Avenue. Gate 3 will be open until 11 p.m. for pedestrians during performance nights. All visitors are required to show a valid photo identification to enter the grounds and bags are subject to search.
