NAVAL ACADEMY BAND PERFORMS IN BEL AIR

The U.S. Naval Academy Band will perform at the William A. Humbert Amphitheatre in Bel Air, Md. Sunday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m.
Lt. Cmdr. Steve Trzcinski and Chief Musician Anthony Asero will lead the band in a program that will include Richard Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries,” Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” and marches by John Philip Sousa. Musician First Class Ben Bokor will be the featured clarinet soloist, performing “Viktor’s Tale” by John Williams.
This concert is free and open to the public with no tickets required. The William A. Humbert Amphitheatre is located at 39 Hickory Ave. in Bel Air, Md.
The U.S. Naval Academy Band has provided music for the Brigade of Midshipmen and the surrounding community since 1852. The band’s mission is to support official Naval Academy activities such as dress parades, athletic events, pep rallies, and other traditional military events. In the community, the band presents concerts, provides music for civic events, and presents instructional clinics and performances for K-12 and university students. The band also plays for military ceremonies throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
