A self-guided War of 1812 walking tour will be available at the Naval Academy through October 2014. The walking tour will include five stops at the Naval Academy featuring exhibits and artifacts that are significant to the War of 1812.

20	USMC 8th and I Ceremonial Drill Team: 11 a.m., Worden Field. (Weather alternative, Alumni Hall). Herndon Monument Climb: 1:30 p.m. Class of 2016 2016 marks the end of Plebe Year by climbing the Herndon Monument across from the Main Chapel and replacing the Plebe “Dixie cup” with the traditional cover worn by all upper class. 21	Blue Angels Circle and Arrival: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team will execute a circle and arrival procedure over the Severn River to establish landmarks and timing for their formal flight demonstration on Wednesday, May 22, subject to weather restrictions. Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Rehearsal: 2-4 p.m. or until conclusion (no later than 6 p.m.), subject to weather restrictions. 23	Color Parade: 11 a.m., Worden Field. This formal parade marks the transfer of the flags from the previous year’s color company to the coming year’s color company. 24	Graduation and Commissioning: 10 a.m., Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Not open to the general public, tickets required.

GENERAL INFORMATION NOTE: Visitors to the Naval Academy events are reminded that vehicles without Department of Defense decals are not permitted on Naval Academy grounds. A free shuttle runs during most major events on the yard, where parking is restricted. The pick-up point is near the Blue Angels plane on the Blue (West) side of the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. Enter the parking lot through Gate 5, off Taylor Avenue. Cost to park at the stadium is $5/day (RV parking: $10); this may be increased during community events. Shuttles usually run 30 minutes before and after any event, at 20-30 minute intervals. For current Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA), Concert and Music department event shuttle information please check the announcements section on the transportation homepage or call 410-293-5751. All shuttle information will be posted a week in advance of any event.

Visitors can also park in town and enter through the pedestrian entrances at Gate 1 at the foot of King George Street and Gate 3 on Maryland Avenue. All visitors will be required to show a valid government-issued picture ID. No bags or backpacks will be allowed on the grounds. Cars with handicapped tags or dashboard cards must be issued a pass from Pass and ID at Gate 1 during normal business hours. After hours, a pass may be issued by the Shift LT at Gate 8.
