Community Relations

The U.S. Naval Academy maintains a vibrant community relations program, with the Brigade of Midshipmen as its organizers and purveyors. Listed below are some of the community service groups located at the Academy:

 

Speakers Bureau

The Speakers Bureau is a team of topic experts who are currently either staff or faculty at the Naval Academy who speak on topics of interest to the external community. For more information, please visit the Speakers Bureau.

 

Midshipman Action Group (MAG)

An extracurricular organization that coordinates voluntary community service projects. Midshipmen give their time, talent and energy to a variety of educational, environmental and social service activities.

National Eagle Scout Association (NESA)

NESA promotes Scouting by assisting and conducting activities with scout troops of the Boy Scouts of America, provides leadership training to members in accordance with the Boy Scout Oath and Law, and promotes the attainment of the Eagle Scout Award by members of the Boy Scouts of America.

 

Campus Girl Scouts of the United States Naval Academy (CGS)

This organization promotes scouting by assisting and conducting activities with Girl Scout Troops of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America.It also provides Midshipmen with an opportunity to continue their involvement in Scouting or to become involved in the Scouting movement.
