Naval Academy Announces Midshipmen Classical Concert

NAVAL ACADEMY ANNOUNCES MIDSHIPMEN CLASSICAL CONCERT

ANNAPOLIS, Md. –  The annual midshipmen classical concert will be held Friday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Naval Academy Chapel.

This concert will feature 15 midshipmen performing on a variety of instruments including the violin, piano, flute, trumpet, bass, bassoon, and French horn. The program will include solos and duets of the masters Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Haydn, Respighi, and others. The concert will also feature works performed by the Midshipmen Orchestra.

Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door or by calling 410-293-TIXS. 

Visitors attending this event may walk through Gate 3 (Maryland Avenue) of the academy and will be required to show valid, government-issued picture identification.  Gate 3 will be open to pedestrians until 10 p.m.  Drivers without Department of Defense I.D. are not permitted on the Naval Academy grounds. Authorized vehicles may enter through Gate 1 (King George Street) or Gate 8 (Maryland Route 450).  Handicapped visitors with proper decals may enter through Gate 1 for this event.  All bags are subject to search.
