Boxing
is a demanding and intense sport. No prior experience is required. The
boxing team
participates in invitational competitions in the fall, as well as ongoing
intramural bouts. The winners of the Brigade Boxing Championship go on to
Easter Regional Competition in order to qualify for the National
Collegiate boxing championships held each spring.
Team Accomplishments:
Navy was 2nd in the Nation in
2003.
Navy had one national champion
in Midshipman Amir Shareef.
Navy Boxing has won the
National Championship 3 times out of last 7 years.
