Pipes and Drums

U.S. Naval Academy Pipes and Drums

firefox-gray    Welcome to the U.S. Naval Academy Pipes and Drums. The Midshipmen of the band represent a wide talent from the Academy. We welcome anyone who is interested in joining us either on one of our drums (snare, tenor or bass) or the highland pipes. We also have an Irish Music group as an outgrowth of the band that is represented by a collection of traditional Irish instruments. There is no experience needed to join the band, only a love for music.

                     "An Apology is in Order"

To the supporters of USNA Pipes and Drums who attended the
City Dock performance on 17 April: On behalf of the band, we
would like to sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding
the start time of the concert.  Due to a miscommunication, the
concert began at 1730 and lasted 30 minutes rather than the
publicized time of 1800 and lasting an hour.  We recognize
that this incident might have had a negative impact on your
Friday evening plans and our reputation as a military
organization.  Please know that the issue is being addressed,
and we hope you'll continue to support the band.  The next
performance will be during Commissioning Week, and we will
ensure that the correct information is passed far in advance
for that performance.
