Parking at USNA

On weekdays, only drivers with DOD identification cards or handicapped tags(display your handicap placard) will be permitted to park on the Naval Academy grounds.  Handicapped visitors may bring vehicles onto USNA with handicapped plates or placards.  Drivers without DOD identification cards or handicapped tags who present temporary Midshipman Parent’s Passes (MPPs) or MPPs (Class of 2015-2017) will be permitted on the Yard to drop off/pick up passengers only on Thursday and Friday.  Parents with temporary MPPs or MPPs will be permitted to park their vehicles on the Yard on Saturday and Sunday on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please note that vehicles entering the Yard are subject to search.  Off-site parking is available at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (NMCMS), 511 Taylor Ave, Annapolis, for a daily parking fee (normally $5/car and $10/RV).  The fee will increase to $10 on Saturday afternoon due to a special event at the stadium. Please enter through Gate #5 on Taylor Avenue.  No overnight parking is permitted.  Information on parking in the City of Annapolis is available at

All persons 18 and older are required to present a government ID card for entry into the Naval Academy and will be subject to search.  Guests are permitted to bring daypacks, diaper bags and purses.  Bags larger than a typical daypack, purse, diaper bag or camera case and large coolers are prohibited.  All bags are subject to search.  Weapons and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.  To reduce wait times at USNA gates, please bring your MPP and a second form of government ID card (e.g., driver’s license) to alleviate the requirement for a bag search.

Dogs or other pets are not permitted on the Academy grounds during Plebe Parents’ Weekend.  An exception will be made for disabled individuals using certified service animals.

Picnicking is not authorized on Naval Academy grounds.
