Department Activities

Midshipmen can select among a number of department activities to supplement their coursework. Foremost is the Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference (NAFAC) directed by midshipmen every April. NAFAC themes focus on leading global issues relevant to the Navy, Academia and policy makers. Department faculty also sponsor the Academy's highly successful debate team which is open to all midshipmen though particularly germane to Political Science majors. Other interesting opportunities include Model United Nations, Pi Sigma Alpha Honorary Society, an active Internship program, interesting travel experiences and the Voluntary Grad Ed program.
