Jarred Tate was born February 4^th, 1987 in Fontana, California.  When not at the Academy, he lives in Las Vegas, Nevada where his parents reside.  His father was enlisted in the Navy, way before Jarred was born and retired after twenty years as a Senior Chief.  His father is now a pastor in Vegas. His mother works for the government, with the Social Security Administration.  He has five sisters and two brothers.  Some of these siblings are half brothers and sisters.  TATE, as he prefers to be called, is seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Oceanography, and plans on receiving a minor in Spanish.  He is a three year varsity letter winner on the Sprint Football team, and is active in multiple ECAs such as, Gospel Choir, Triad Christian Fellowship, Latin American Studies club, Hispanic Outreach, and of course SHPE. He wants to service select Navy Air, and fly P-3s after his expected graduation of May 2010.
