The Oceanography Department honors Midshipman First Class Claire Fletcher, winner of 2013 Oceanography Award, and the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Volunteer Award.
On Friday, November 22, 2013, in collaboration with Maryland Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA), USNA STEM faculty and midshipmen staged a full day of hands-on science and engineering activities for 300 elementary school students from local counties and Baltimore City at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
