Admissions Information
The Intercollegiate Sailing Team is ideal for skippers and crew who have done a fair amount of competitive high school, junior or class racing in dinghies OR for those who have less experience but are small and athletic (roughly sailors under 150 lbs.). We have a great program to train our crews and have been successful in producing Crew All-Americans from students who had never sailed before attending college. If you have offshore or big boat sailing experience, might be too big for a dinghy, or just have minimal experience but a strong desire to sail and compete, then the Offshore Sailing Team may be the place for you. If you are interested in sailing at the Naval Academy or would like to learn more about our program, please fill out one of the questionnaires below and return by mail or fax to the address or fax number on the form.
In addition, you should check out the Naval Academy Admissions Department to learn more about the Admissions process, check the basic eligibility requirements, as well as sign up to receive more information about the Academy. You should also consider the Summer Seminar which is a one week program in the summer after your junior year in High School where you can get a good taste of what life at the Academy will be like.
