Shields Trophy
The Shields Trophy is awarded to the winner of a regatta amongst the service academies. This competition began in 1963 in the Naval Academy's Shields sloops and was run through 1985. After a ten year hiatus, the regatta was resurrected in 1996 in Navy 44's and run in the fall season in conjunction with the MAISA McMillan Cup Eliminations.
