Varsity Offshore Sailing Team
The Varsity Offshore Sailing Team (VOST) competes in intercollegiate big boat regattas, many of which are hosted by the Naval Academy, as well as outside competition, both locally on the Chesapeake Bay and on the Eastern seaboard in the summer. The Offshore Sailing Team's fleet consists of Navy 44s, racing boats donated to the Naval Academy and J/24s.
The twelve J/24's are used to train the younger members of the Offshore Team in sailing and racing techniques before moving up to the big boats, as well as give leadership opportunities to 3/c sailors each fall.
