Current Status of ICSat

End of Semester, Fall 2004

The final design of ICSat has been developed and the focus has now shifted towards acquisition and troubleshooting.  All of the components for the experiment have been ordered and should arrive in January of 2005. 

 

Some of the major accomplishments of this semester include:

1. Detailed Assembly Procedures Document (90% Complete)

2. ICSat Portion of MSPSP (80% Complete)

3. Detailed Current Inventory

4. Materials and Outgassing List

5. Functional 'Flat Sat' of ICSat Main Box

6. Ground Station Test Rack Design and Construction

7. Closed Communications Link Test
