Initiative Description:

• Create a center incorporating existing facilities (Computer Aided Design and Interactive Graphics, Chaos and Complexity Laboratory, Modeling and Simulation Laboratory, CSE Lab) with the goals of:
  • Reducing duplication of hardware and software
  • Expanding the availability of state-of-the-art hardware and software for midshipmen and faculty research
  • Increasing the opportunity for interdisciplinary interaction and research

Expected Outcome/Benefit:

• Provide USNA a centralized and efficient center that makes high performance computing available at a reduced cost to the entire institution
• Present a unified voice to funding agencies when proposing projects to DoD, Government and industrial funding sources
