• Construct athletic facilities to promote physical education, athletic excellence and gender equity
  • Projects include:
    • New Field House at Turner Field
    • Instructional pool adjacent to Lejeune Hall
    • Indoor tennis/racquet sports facility
    • Athletic fields at Naval Station and Greenbury Point
    • Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
    • Removable bubble over the artificial turf field
    • Renovate Bishop Stadium
    • Renovate/Replace Halsey Field House
    • Artificial turf field adjacent to 7th wing
    • Crew Facility/Hubbard Hall Renovation
    • Locker Room upgrades/improvements
    • Upgrades to Athletic Fields

Expected Outcome/Benefit:

• Increase ability to attract top midshipmen candidates
• Improve all-weather availability of athletic practice facilities
• Reduce heavy usage of existing athletic fields allowing for improved field maintenance/re-growth
• Provide athletic venues commensurate with an institution of national stature
• Improve Title IX compliance
