Transportation Department
The USNA Transportation Department is committed to providing safe and efficient transportation to all Midshipmen, future Midshipmen, and other government agencies.
We take pride in being the primary source of transportation for all Midshipmen. We provide transportation to and from most of the major events that help support the physical, mental and moral mission of all USNA Midshipmen. As you can see from the topics on the left side. We have a daily schedule link that list two weeks of Transportation Bus Schedules—the week that we are working in now and the following week. The Transportation Supervisor, will update the schedule two to three times per week, including replacing the expired week with an updated second week of bus scheduling.
However, in order to provide the best information possible on the web-site, it is essential that customer’s follow the Transportation scheduling request process in the sequence outline below:
- Submit request 14 days prior to the scheduled event
- Check the Mids System to validate the status of the request
- Go to Transportation Web-site to validate a bus has been scheduled for the date and times requested
EFFCTIVE IMMEDIATELY, WE REQUEST THAT ALL CUSTOMERS CHECK THE TRANPORTATION WEB-SITE FIRST BEFORE CALLING TRANSPORTATION CONCERNING SHORT-TERM BUS SCHEDULING QUESTIONS!
Our team of drivers typically drive hundreds of thousands of miles each year and have an excellent safety record. All of the drivers at USNA hold a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and are some of the best motor coach operators in the Eastern US. Some of the most dedicated individuals at USNA can be found behind the wheel of a USNA bus.
In addition to bus transportation we also handle the majority of government vehicles that are used by various departments and groups around the yard. A pool of vehicles is also maintained to provide an opportunity for smaller groups of Midshipmen to use government vehicles as needed.
