Chief Petty Officer Ronda J. Ory-Lettie, USN
Senior Chief Musician Ronda Ory-Lettie, a native of Coral Gables, Florida, earned a bachelor of music education degree from Auburn University in 1985 and a master of music degree in flute performance from Florida State University in 1988. Her former teachers include Charles Delaney and Mark Sparks. Prior to joining the Navy, Senior Chief Ory-Lettie taught music at Gretna Elementary School where she instructed general music classes and directed school productions. Senior Chief Ory-Lettie's naval career began in 1989 when she was accepted for duty with the Naval Academy Band. She performs with the concert band, ceremonial and marching units. Additionally, she is head of the band's Public Affairs Office and woodwind section leader of the concert band. Since joining the Naval Academy Band, she has performed on master classes of Peter Lloyd and Robert Willoughby. Senior Chief Ory-Lettie’s military awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation (two awards), Good Conduct Medal (five awards), National Defense Service Medal (two awards), and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
