Class Petty Officer Heidi P. Schultz, USN
Musician First Class Heidi Schultz, from Littleton, Colorado, has completed multiple degrees in her field of Oboe Performance. She earned a Bachelor of Music (Oboe) from the University of Kansas in 1989, a Master of Music (Oboe) from Northwestern University in 1991, and then a Graduate Performance Diploma (Oboe) from the Peabody Conservatory of Music in 1998. Petty Officer Schultz enlisted in the U.S. Navy and reported to the U.S. Naval Academy band in Spring, 2000. She performs in the concert band, ceremonial bands, and marching band, performing oboe, piccolo and flute. Petty Officer Schultz has performed with numerous professional orchestras during her music career. These include the Kenosha symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Civic Orchestra, the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, and the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. She has also recorded and toured Europe and America with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She currently serves as second oboe/English Horn with the Gettysburg Symphony Orchestra. Petty Officer Schultz enjoys playing tennis, going to the theater, and performing in handbell choirs.
