First Class Petty Officer Joseph A. Tubiolo, USN
Saxophonist, Naval Academy Band

Musician First Class Joseph Tubiolo, a saxophone instrumentalist, is a native of Cobleskill, New York. Petty Officer Tubiolo graduated from Cobleskill-Richmondville High School in 1997 and proceeded to Ithaca College (Ithaca, New York), earning a bachelor of Music Education degree in 2001. At Ithaca College, he performed as principal alto saxophonist in the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble and performed as tenor saxophonist in the Jazz Lab Band. His teachers include Dr. Steven Mauk and James Corigliano. He has performed with the Catskill Festival Orchestra, Odyssey Saxophone Quartet, and the Swingin' Jive Patrol.

Petty Officer Tubiolo enlisted in the Navy in 2001, earning the Military Excellence Award while at recruit training at Naval Station, Great Lakes. He performs with the concert, ceremonial, and marching bands, and in his spare time, enjoys mountain biking and hiking.
