Trombone Quartet
The Trombone Quartet has existed as a part of the Naval Academy Band since the 1960's, performing public concerts in the local community. With a special emphasis on education, the quartet regularly performs for students of all ages. The quartet's repertoire varies from transcriptions of famous works written for other instruments by composers like Johann Sebastian Bach, Carlo Gesualdo, Claude Debussy, and Richard Wagner to original works for trombone quartet by Ludwig van Beethoven, Daniel Speer, Jacques Charpentier, Eugene Bozza, Daniel Schnyder, Ray Premru, and Daniel Pinkham. Led by Musician First Class Zac Hollister, the Trombone Quartet is passionate about advancing the art of trombone quartet music, and regularly performs new works commissioned by the ensemble.
