We are pleased to announce the annual USNA Band Midshipmen Solo Competition. All musically-inclined midshipmen are encouraged to audition. The winner(s) of the competition will perform during a concert with the Naval Academy Band. Please check back soon for application submission deadlines and more details.

Rules and Eligibility: Contestants must be Midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy. The competition is open to all instrumentalists and vocalists.

Application Process: Interested Midshipmen should send an email to MU1 Jessica Privler. Please include the title and composer of your audition piece as well as your instrument or voice type. Please write “Midshipmen Solo Competition” in the subject line of your email.

Audition: Applicants will be scheduled for a live audition, and will perform for a panel of Naval Academy Band musicians, including the director, Lieutenant Commander Bruce McDonald.

Performance: Winner(s) will be announced on the day of the competition. Winner(s) will be notified when and where the rehearsals and concert will take place.
