U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY BAND PRESENTS

IN THE STYLE OF
ZZZZZIMMERMANN

The Naval Academy Band will present a concert at Rawlinsville Camp Meeting in Holtwood, PA on July 13th at 7:00 p.m.  Lieutenant Commander Brian O. Walden will conduct a tribute to Second Lieutenant Charles Zimmermann, composer of the Navy song, “Anchor’s Aweigh,” which premiered over 100 years ago.  The program will include “Poet and Peasant Overture” by Franz von Suppé, “Hail to the Spirit of Liberty” by John Philip Sousa, and works from movie soundtracks by composer John Williams. Musician First Class Russell Sharp will perform a trombone solo by Arthur Pryor.  

Naval Academy Band concerts are free and open to the public with no tickets required.  Rawlinsville Camp Meeting is located at 475 Clearfield Road in Holtwood, PA. For more information, please call (410) 293-0263.
