Jeff Weir - Director/Brass Caption Head/Visual Designer
     Mr. Jeff Weir took over the position as civilian director of the U.S. Naval Academy Drum and Bugle Corps in July of 1995. A native of Saratoga Springs, NY, Mr. Weir graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1991 where he marched in the UConn Marching Band as a trombonist. During his four years in Storrs, he served as a drill instructor and also became a member of the national honorary band fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi. Following a summer as a euphonium with the Cadets of Bergen County (1991), Mr. Weir took a position as the Assistant Band Director at his alma mater, Montville (CT) High School. During his stay at Montville, Mr. Weir was contracted as a drill designer for several championship high school bands in the area including Montville and Southington (CT) High Schools, as well as designing the visual program for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy's "Windjammers" Drum and Bugle Corps. In 1995, Mr. Weir was hired as Corps Director of the U.S. Naval Academy Drum and Bugle Corps. Since then, Jeff has since assisted the visual programs of a number of organizations, including the Westshoremen, the Sunrisers, the University of Maryland, the University of Connecticut, and the 7th Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps from his former hometown, New London, CT. 
Richard DeCapio - Assistant Director/Percussion Caption Head
    Introduced to drum and bugle corps at the age of fifteen, Richard DeCapio began a long career marching with competitive marching bands and drum and bugle corps. His indoctrination to marching percussion was with the Sword Excalibur Drum and Bugle corps from New London, CT. After high school, Mr. DeCapio continued his marching career by joining the Bayonne Bridgemen for the 1985 season. In 1986 He entered the ranks of the Harrison Bushwackers where he competed in the snare section of the drum line. The Bushwackers drum line went undefeated during that season and guaranteed the corps first title by winning drums by nearly two points. Mr DeCapio then competed with the Connecticut Hurricanes for four seasons concluding in 1992. Mr. DeCapio’s educational career began by instructing the drum line at his alma mater East Lyme (CT) High School. Through the past twenty years he has taught many southeastern CT Marching percussion programs, most notably the Montville High School and Southington High School. Mr. DeCapio has worked as a percussion instructor and as an assistant director through his educational career. Most recently Mr. DeCapio coordinated the USSBA championship seasons of 1999 and 2005 for Montville. Mr. DeCapio is currently anchoring the snare section for outrageously entertaining Bayonne Bridgemen Alumni Drum and Bugle corps.
