Bring:  Calculator (with extra batteries), #2 pencils, crib-sheet.
The crib-sheet is one 8.5-by-11-inch sheet of paper with whatever you want written on one side. The other side is blank. Put your name on it.
Do not bring blank paper or blue books. I will provide paper.

Format:
This is a common final exam taken by all students in SM223.
Students are responsible for all the material in the course.
You are also expected to be able to evaluate basic derivatives and integrals without a calculator.

The final exam has 3 parts:

1. Proof question. No calculator. No crib-sheet. You are responsible for the three theorems and proofs that were mentioned in class. See handout.
2. Multiple-choice. 20 questions. No calculator. Crib-sheet allowed. No partial credit.
3. Long answer. 9 questions. Calculator and crib-sheet both allowed. Show your work to receive full or partial credit.

Calculators: Calculators will be required for part of the exam. Make sure you have extra batteries. Calculators cannot be shared with other students. You can type whatever information you want into your calculator in advance.

Old Exams:
Old final exams (many with solutions) are available at the link at the top of this webpage. These will give you a guide to the format, length, and difficulty.
