Title:

History of the Universe: A Mathematical Physics Perspective

Abstract: We briefly discuss some of the observations (from Aristarchus of Samos to the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe) and corequisite mathematics (trigonometry, differential geometry, and more) that have combined to produce the current "consensus" model for the composition and evolution of the known universe.

Time: 3:45, Wednesday Oct 22, 2008
