Title:

Submagmas of Random Magmas

Abstract: A magma is a set with a binary operation. For example, a group is a magma, but a magma need not have an identity and need not be associative. A finite magma can be specified by a composition table.

In this talk, I will discuss the structure of magmas for which the composition table is chosen at random.

Time: 3:45, Wednesday November 19, 2008

Reception before talk.
