Title: Tiling Representations of Continuous Time Dynamical Systems

Abstract: Every dynamical system with a continuous, multidimensional time parameter can be represented as a tiling based dynamical system with a natural discrete action associated with the representation. The representations of a fixed continuous time action are not unique. In this talk we will discuss the structure of the space of representations of a fixed action. We will show that there is an intrinsic relationship between the orbit structure of two discrete actions which arise in different representations of a fixed continuous time action. We will highlight new techniques that we developed to accommodate the complicated geometry of multidimensional time parameters. We will also present a summary of other questions in dynamical systems which lend themselves to similar analysis.
