Title: Augural Image Resolution Enhancement
Abstract: We present a fundamentally new method for enhancing resolution of images. It operates rapidly to expand images in size while keeping sharp edges sharp and smooth regions smooth. The method is based on predicting the relationship between two locally computed quantities called the augury and declivity. We describe an implementation consisting of no operations other than additions, subtractions, comparisons, and table-lookups.
