Title: Combinatorial Games under Auction Play

Abstract: A Richman game is a combinatorial game played under the unorthodox protocol that the adversaries, instead of alternating moves, bid after each move for the right to make the next move. In this talk, I'll outline the strategy for playing such games. In addition, I'll mention the Brouwer fixed-point theorem, use an English word that begins with a "q" and ends with an "x", and answer the question: How can you bet on the outcome of the World Series if your bookie can only take bets on individual games?
