Title:

Tiling spaces and tiling dynamical systems
with smooth or algebraic models.

Abstract: This talk will consider spaces of aperiodic tilings of Euclidean space like the Penrose tiling. We will describe an approach to studying these tilings based on dynamical systems theory. Then we will describe concrete models for some of these examples which turn out to be topological groups or differentaible manifolds.
