We illustrate some of the simple constructions
in MAGMA [
MAGMA].
This note is written for the first-time user of MAGMA but assumes that
the reader knows basic things about MAPLE. The reader is
invited to take part by doing some of the exercises provided,
which are solved at the end of the paper.
