Boatspeed in Dinghies PowerPoint New Navy 44 Midshipmen and TAD Ensign Projects From 1996 through the delivery of the first boat, NA-21, in October 2007, over 25 students worked on research projects related to the development of the Mk 2 Navy 44 Sail Training Craft designed by Pedrick Yacht Designs. Below are the details of a number of those projects. These projects were performed in EN495/496 independent research courses, the EN476 capstone design project course and internships. The opportunity to study and apply their academic training to a "real-life" project was a great motivator and opportunity for the midshipmen.
