Windows programs for teaching oceanography, geology, and computer mapping.  The current versions will support only 32 bit Windows.

  • GRAYSCALE--game to see how closely you can differentiate shades of gray.
  • NYQUIST--see the effect of the Nyquist sampling theorem.
  • Tides animation and display:  (600 kb compressed archive). Run the executable WINTIDE.exe.
  • DUCK.  Display of waves and bar profiles for the Corps of Engineers research facility at Duck, NC.  More recent work on beach profiles is part of  MICRODEM (look up "LIDAR & Beach Surveys" and "Coastal Lidar Survey Time Series" in the help file.
