On the Windows Explorer menu, pick Tools, Map Network Drive. |

On the popup, you need to select the folder. You want the IP
address of the server (\\10.50.17.229), and the folder (note it starts
with a backslash "|\") to which you want to attach. Check the "connect using different credentials" Pick Finish. |

Enter your user name and password. These will be unique for this server. |

Open a command prompt. On the "search programs and files",
type cmd, and then open the program found. Once opened, you will have the black icon on the task bar. |

In the command prompt, type "ping" and the IP address of the server. If you have a response, you should be able to connect. |

In the command prompt, type "ipconfig". The IPv4 Address gives you the IP address of your machine. If you have problems, we can try pinging your machine from the other end of the shared connection. The 10.50.xxx.xxx addresses are internal to the Academy. |
