Coastal Classification Lab

This lab will be individual work.  It will be due by 1300 Tuesday March 24.

Each person will be responsible for picking a different area of the California coast.  Before you leave the lab, you are to write your location (name of a town, with lat/long coordinates) on the board and email your selection to the instructor.

Web sources: 

• http://www.californiacoastline.org/ which has imagery from the 1970s, 1980s, about 1990, and current imagery.  The Google Earth interface will probably be particularly useful for you. 

You are discuss what coastal features appear in the stretch of coast you have chosen,  and how this stretch of coast has changes in the past 40 years.  You should use correct technical terminology, and include maps and images to describe what is happening.
