I have earned my Ph.D. in 2002 from Kent State University. My research dissertation, under the supervision of Prof. Carmen Almasan, was a study of electrical and magnetic properties of high temperature superconducting materials. Besides my dissertation work, I have enjoyed research appointments with the Institute of Physics and Technology of Materials, Bucharest-Magurele, Romania (1993-1996), Prof. Konstantin K. Likharev's group at Stony Brook University, NY, USA (postdoc, 2002-2004), and Prof. Mark A. Reed's group at Yale University, CT, USA (postdoc, 2004-2007). My current research interests are focused on the physical properties and technological applications of nanoscale materials.
