
Your Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Thrift Store! The Navy Marine Corps Relief Society Thrift Store on the Naval Station on Alder Road is proud of its support to the Annapolis Area Complex. We offer a variety of gently used household and house ware items, clothes, baby items, military uniforms (for active duty and reservists), linens, books, and toys at competitive prices to authorized military beneficiaries. A policy change requires that your donations are accepted only during our hours of operations (see below) and a tax donation voucher is given to you. Because of limited space, we are not able to accept furniture, appliances, and large electronic pieces. If you are looking for a way to help the Navy-Marine Corps family, please consider volunteering with us for a 3 hour period/ week. Flexible schedules are available! There are opportunities for sorting donations, cash register, store displays, publicity, etc. Mileage and child care reimbursement are available. We would love to work with you!

Along with the usual used household items, the store also carries a large variety of used uniforms. with the large number of reservists sin the Maryland area being called for the Iraq situation, please check the store to see if there are uniform items available. Uniforms are very expensive if purchased new, and the used ones can be purchased for just a few dollars.
The Naval Academy Women’s Golf Association (NAWGA) invites interested golfers to join either our 9-hole group, which meets Tuesday mornings, or the 18-hole group, which meets Thursday mornings. The season runs from April to October for both groups. To be eligible for either group, you must be a dues-paying member of the Naval Academy Golf Association as specified in the association’s bylaws. For more information, call the Navy Golf pro shop at 410-757- 2022. Pat Owen, head pro, or one of his assistants will answer your questions on eligibility, fees, handicap, etc., and will provide the current contact name for either the 9 or 18 - hole group. |
