The Naval Academy is accredited by the Commission on Higher
Education of the Middle State Association of colleges and Schools,
3624 Market St., Philadelphia, PA 19104, (215-662-5606. The
commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting
agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the
Commission on Recognition of Post-secondary Education. In addition,
six of the Naval Academy's engineering majors are professionally
accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the
Accreditation board for Engineering ad Technology (ABET). The
computer science major is accredited by the computing Accreditation
Commission of ABET, 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD
21202-4012, (410) 347-7700, and the chemistry major is accredited by
the American Chemical Society.
