The mission of the United States Naval Academy Combat Arms Team is to train its members in the safe and accurate employment of various weapons in real-world tactical scenarios. As members of the International Defensive Pistol Association, the team competes in matches that challenge them both physically and mentally as they shoot and move through dynamic courses of fire, meaning that the shooter navigates obstacles while shooting. While practicing and competing, the team uses a multitude of service, civilian, and developmental weapons ranging from pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, sub-machineguns, and crew served weapons.
We hope to expand our mission to serve not just our members, but also the Brigade of Midshipmen as a BSA.
