Profile

Lieutenant Colonel Daniel P. Healey enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1985 and served in the Signals Intelligence community, primarily as a Russian linguist. He was graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 1993, commissioned, and assigned as an Infantry officer.



In the Marine Corps Operating Forces, he has served as a platoon commander, company commander, battalion executive officer, and team leader for an advisor team to the Iraqi Army. Non-operational assignments include training and developing newly-commissioned Marine lieutenants at The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, and midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy.



Lieutenant Colonel Healey has attended the Marine Corps’s Amphibious Warfare School, completed the Command & Staff College, and has a Master of Science in Leadership and Human Resource Development from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is married and has five children.
