Regionals:
Pitt
Taylor Toombs (1 goal, unassisted)
Hugh Anderson played very well on defense, stopping many Pitt counterattacks. Tyler Bristol had several saves including three breakaway stops to keep Navy from losing to a determined Pitt team. Although Navy underperformed, they got a result, which would later prove enough to allow them to advance out of group play.
Lehigh
Kevin Rodrigo (2 goals), Dominic Iacopino (1 goal), Matt Agnew (1 goal)
Roger Taylor (1 assist), Dominic Iacopino (1 assist)
Kevin Rodrigo had two amazing goals to give Navy the necessary goal differential to advance to the next round.
RIT
Kevin Rodrigo (1 goal)
Nic Dadds (1 assist)
Tyler Bristol had a few spectacular saves in goal to keep RIT shutout, including a shot just under the crossbar that looked to be a sure goal. Navy dominated the game on the field, even though they failed to put more than one goal in the net. RIT had very few chances, and after the game even said Navy was the best team they had played all year.
Penn State
Tyler Bristol had a great game, keeping several would be goals out of the net, including a spectacular three shot flurry from Penn State to keep Navy in the game. Navy played well against an evenly matched opponent, but failed to overcome an early defensive breakdown against the number one seeded Penn State team.
UPenn
Matt Agnew (1 goal), Nic Dadds (1 goal, unassisted)
Andy Krebs (1 assist)
Although tired during the fifth and final game of the weekend, Navy outperformed UPenn, with their only goal coming from a penalty kick. The win gave Navy a third place finish in the Regional tournament and a berth in the national tournament.
Nationals
Navy played well throughout the tournament, even controlling large portions of the games they lost. However, they were unable to score in three games despite creating many opportunities, with their only two goals coming in a winning effort against San Diego State. This concludes a successful 2007 Fall Championship Season. Thanks to our Firsties for all the hard work they put in throughout their career.
