Career
Information |
Prof. Mouring has been a Professor at the Naval Academy since September 1992. She has taught courses in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering. Prof. Mouring has taken an active role as Faculty Representative to the Society of Women Engineers and the Society of American Military Engineers at the Naval Academy. Prof. Mouring also is involved in the American Society of Civil Engineers as an Associate Member. |

Prof. Mouring has taught the following courses: Statics, Dynamics, Introduction to Naval Architecture, Design of Foundations for Ocean Structures, Ocean Engineering Structures, Ocean Engineering Structures II, Principles of Ocean Systems Engineering, Structural Analysis of Offshore Platforms, Naval Materials Science and Egnineering, and Ocean Systems Engineering Design II. |

Research
Interests |
Prof. Mouring has concentrated recently in the area of composite structures including both analytical and experimental work. Most recently she has been investigating the behavior of hybrid composite-to-steel joints for naval hull applications. |
