Information
Dr. Waters is a presently a professor in the NA&OE Department at USNA. She teaches primarily core and elective ocean engineering courses, and is involved in various ocean engineering and naval architecture research projects. She is active in a variety of USNA and external professional committees. She is also the NA&OE Department's webmaster.

Teaching
Interests
Professor Waters teaches and has served as course coordinator for many Ocean Engineering core and elective courses, including Ocean Engineering Mechanics (EN475), Coastal Engineering (EN420), Ocean Environmental Engineering I and Ocean Environmental Engineering II. She also teaches EN245: Principles of Ocean Systems Engineering, a sophomore-level general engineering course for department majors, and EN200: Naval Engineering I, a naval engineering course for non-engineering students. She has also advised several independent student research (EN495/496) projects.

Interests
Prof Waters' research interests bridge the fields of naval architecture and ocean engineering. Research sponsors have included the Office of Naval Research (ONR), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). See her research page for more information and details.
