We have a new name! The Marine Engineering major (ESP), formerly within our department, has now become a track within the mechanical engineering major.  The ESP major no longer exists beginning with the class of '01, and our department name has been changed to "The Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering" (NA&OE) as of August 2000.  All marine engineering faculty are now officially part of the mechanical engineering department.  (August 2000)
