The Center for the Study of Private Navies

The Center for the Study of Private Navies was established to assess the history, presence, and viability of organized maritime components that are not assigned to traditional, state-owned navies and coast guards in order to provide greater maritime situational awareness for officers graduating from the Naval Academy and promote discussion of how the ocean is used in the twenty-first century.

  3. Explore the subject through talks and panels at the U.S. Naval Academy
